We're an all-volunteer organization and provide our services for free. Your donation means we can provide great programs for our kids, parents and educators. From our expert presentations to our reward-based, play-learning styled social skills programs for kids, it all costs money to keep running. Please consider making a donation to help our families today.
Hundreds of families in the Inland Empire are affected by Asperger's and high-functioning autism. Help us reach them. Forward them our website address so they can access information that can make such a difference in their lives. Help them find families like theirs, a community that understands and accepts and enjoys them just the way they are.
It takes courage to attend a new group. It also takes transportation and babysitting, and sometimes a lot of encouragement. If you know someone whose life is affected by Asperger's or high-functioning autism, please support them and help them attend one of our events. A little bit of effort from you now can have a huge impact on their family for years to come.
To folks who don't know about autism, our kids can look like rotten little brats who are overindulged by their parents. When our kids attend schools whose staff doesn't understand why they do what they do it's a recipe for disaster. Telephone calls to parents, suspended kids, anger and resentment on both sides of the desk. That's not anyone's fault. We have great teachers who want to help our kids but they don't always know how. The education of autistic kids is a new field and many teachers have not had the opportunity to receive training. But with your help they can receive training now. Talk to your principal about scheduling an autism in-service from your SELPA and help them get the tools they need to help our kids succeed.
